Building 35 East Entry

Site Improvements & Renovations
Client: US Department of Veterans Affairs
Location: VA Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio

Project:
Existing main entry for building 35 had undergone considerable wear and tear by the constant and diverse daily traffic flow of people, materials, and equipment deliveries. This need became reflective in: damaged doors; scarred walls and floors; low levels of lighting; inoperable electrical controls; ceiling tiles dated/missing; and dated architectural finishes. The lack of ADA accessibility needed immediate attention and therefore required design of a dual purpose ramp system which would service people and deliveries without major conflicts. Given historic character of the building - the developed design was complimentary of the period architecture. A canopy was incorporated as part of this sensitive design solution.

Details:
The interior architectural changed into a more contemporary theme with color, textures, and new finishes. VA interior department lead the over selection of the color palette. with new doors, refacing, new units, and new ceiling system an overall image was achieved.
