Client: Kennedy Heights Montessori Center
Location: Kennedy Heights, Cincinnati, OH.
Project:
The creative conversion of a former grocery store of 32,000 sf into a unique Cultural Center campus development. This would incorporate: Kennedy Heights Montessori Center, Cincinnati Art Museum (CAM), performance/educational flex space, Catering kitchen, retail/commercial common area, gift shop, various artist studio space, exhibit/gallery space, common lobby/gallery, and restrooms. Potential addition of spaces such as: exterior and separate retail spaces, living/work residential units, and other commercial spaces located on site.
Details:
The vision will depict the potential for the development of a "Cultural Center Campus" organized around the proposed CAM facility. New neighborhood-oriented residential and commercial spaces - geared toward the needs of artists - would be developed as means to meet current and future demand for living and work spaces, and to bring a heightened sense of vibrancy to the district. The spaces (overtime) are envisioned to be both co-located within the CAM facility and as free standing uses along Kennedy Avenue and Montgomery Road. Artists' Studios, an Art Supply store or gift shop could be located. There should be a proposed conceptual plan that shows the potential for the expansion of the facilities.
