Adaptive Compliance Standards

As part of a campus wide mandate to make all public buildings accessible four buildings for phase 1 were selected to design solutions to their lack of ADA compliance to, and into the buildings. Though existing ramps existed at some buildings - these had been constructed prior to the enhancement of ADA regulations, resulting in them not meeting either ADA or VA accessibility standards.

With all buildings needing to remain operational while reconstruction work was underway secondary accessibility solutions had to be formulated and managed. VA CADD and master spec standards were utilized in completing this successful task order.
