Project:
After a fire destroyed the Patel's store structure - it had to be demolished and rebuilt. The Insurance Company was willing to allow for a larger structure which had to meet or exceed all fire and safety codes. Upgrades were also required to gas pump operations.

Details:
FWAS once commissioned gathered site surveys and critical highway data - as the site was located on a state highway and certain easements had to be respected. Face to face meetings with area planning department, fire department, and the health agency were conducted prior to any design work beginning. Owners desired a one story solution to replace the former two story structure. Visibility of complete front of site operations was provided at the cashier's control area.

A drive-thru was added to the concept so maximum return on investment could be realized. New items such as: food court, staff breakroom, beer caves, and live bait tanks were included in design and had not been part of the former retail offerings. Building was fully sprinklered, and given a higher fire rating than required, and demanded by the Insurance Company. Site access points were reduced based on state Highway regulations.
