Addition & Renovations
Client: Name Withheld by Request
Location: Forest Park, Ohio
Project:
With a new house the family still needed more space and decided a multi-level addition was the answer. The addition would house: a new family room, new elevated dining area, built-in storage cabinetry, exterior concrete patio, and reworking of site drainage to direct water away from the house.
Details:
Owners have two very active young sons one that has "down syndrome". The goal of the addition is to provide more play space for the children primarily. Architects recommended a radiant heat system in the floor as a physical calming tool during cool and cold months for the baby. Natural but durable materials were selected to provide unique character. The rear wall contained as much glazing (new windows) as possible, to bring the outside indoors.
