Comprehensive Renovations & ADA Compliance
Client: Seven Hills Neighborhood Services, Inc.
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Project:
Cincinnati's West End's key service facility for more than forty years had deteriorated to a point of needing comprehensive renovations. The proposed work scope will directly address: ADA non-compliance, complete mechanical/plumbing systems replacement, interior/exterior, and spatial redefinement.

Details:
The client sought to reestablish the House in this vain by refacing the entrance with a new face, while adding ADA ramp for accessibility, and a new front door. Internally major design solutions developed new concepts for: functional specific flooring throughout; wall resurfacing; ceiling systems; light fixtures; expansion of restrooms to meet ADA; vertical chairlift system to make lower level accessible for the first time; state of the art security control system; new fire escape system; conversion of former skating rink into multi-purpose community area; and the refurbishing of the historical famous boxing ring/training area.

The project dictated a three phased process based on Federal and local funding sources and cycles. The overall facility square footage is 14,440 on ground floor and 11,024 on basement level. This included a gym and multipurpose area comprising of 4,737 sf. and 4,048 sf. respectively.
