Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Project:
To convert a 1950 dated corridor and 1960's remodeled classroom areas into a modern college multi-media center and public meeting area for community and corporate current and potential business partners. The goal was to create a new image for CSTCC as a prelude to the (then) coming Advance Technology and Learning Center.

Details:
Conversion of universally utilized area into a state-of-art Media Presentation Center entailed:

  • A translucent screen wall system separating the dining/food prep area from the presentation room (also served as control flow for food distribution).
  • New dynamic wall and ceiling details produced a unique combination of wood, wall covering, ceramic tile, and select carpeting.
  • Advance high tech audio/video computer integrated multi-media (with Information Technology Department) equipment; drop viewing screen and Dolby surround sound system
  • ADA modifications per all doors, fixtures, and seating
  • Fire protection system (existing) was modified to integrate a new limited area system.
  • Design new ADA compliance exterior stairs/ramp entrance ramp
  • Modified existing HVAC system to provide air flow, heat, etc. to the newly defined and reformed spaces
  • Metal floating ceiling system installed to reflect the 1950's ceiling (metal); but with newer materials and side lit down lighting in corridor.
