Lincoln Court Hope VI

Client: Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA)
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Project:
CMHA first Hope VI grant award $35 million was provided to demolish and replace 951 units with newer mixed income family units totaling 606 in number. Prior to any action on project a selected program management team was commissioned to complete the final Hope VI application components, a critical one being the self-sufficiency program for residents.

Details:
Mr. Alexander as part of program management team had complete responsibility for developing, structuring, negotiating in final analysis and the writing of the self-sufficiency program. This program produced significant numbers of partnerships/network of collaborative agencies, organizations, local governments, and individuals committed to the positive growth and development of low to moderate income families and individuals. This much acclaimed CSS section was set up to include: job readiness programs; job training programs; GED completion classes; childcare programs; head start and after school programs; scholarship fund/ tuition advancement; transportation program; job creation; intensive case management; resident participation; and a full service bank for resident banking.
